PAR’s Environmental Impact was calculated for the ENTIRE company based on available dataa. Multiple impacts were calculated and the following was found:
|Number of Employees in Reporting Region (reflective of amount of manhours)||3,008||2,623||2,127||39,200|
|Greenhouse Gas Emissions (metric tons of CO2e)||13,553||14,400b||18,375||25,145|
|Energy Usage (kWh)||NRc||NRc||NRc||915,926|
|Non-Hazardous Waste Generated (pounds)||NR||NR||NR||3,617,300|
|Recycled Material (pounds)||187,393||494,822d||404,112||1,193,145|
|Water Consumption (gallons)||1,327,649||970,156||1,824,948||2,935,510|
**These numbers are gross numbers and do not take into account consumption in comparison to manhours worked. PAR has an environmental impact reduction goal of the following:
- Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions by 5% by 2029
- Reducing Water Consumption by 5% by 2029
- Diverting 5% of waste from landfills by 2029
- Reduce Energy Usage by 5% by 2029
- Maintaining no Reportable Spills throughout the Company
**2019 is the first year it has included the entire company in its analysis and thus the data in 2019 shows a rise in environmental impacts which may not necessarily be the case. Additionally, these numbers do not reflect manhours worked as described above and therefore a rise in production has yielded a rise in impacts. As a result of this, PAR has opted to move its emissions goals, also giving itself some room to improve how data is collected and analyzed over the next few years and shall utilize 2019 as its baseline year.
a Data may be unavailable due to several reasons, including but not limited to lease agreements for offices/yards that include but are not limited to payment of utility bills by property owner or client or material/waste to be managed/recycled by client, etc.
b Emissions have gone up as regional difference apply in this situation. PAR started reporting for a number of work occurring outside of California where a predominant number of our greener fleet exists. Therefore, as work in California slowed and work outside of California accelerated, this reflected in our emissions number.
c Previously combined with greenhouse gas data and not individually reported.
d Recycled material went up as regional offices started tracking recycling better. Although PAR has participated in recycling programs for a number of years now, the company had not been tracking the amount.
