North Carolina — PAR crews traveled to North Carolina to help with power restoration. With 250 pieces of equipment, 200 men came from Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio to support emergency relief efforts.

Hitting shore as a Category 1 hurricane on Friday, September 14, Hurricane Florence hovered over the Carolinas and dumped massive amounts of rain. According to CNN, the rains have led to catastrophic and historic flooding (source: CNN).

PAR re-set poles, ran new power lines, repaired transformers and connections to homes and businesses.

A couple traveling to Carolina Beach, North Carolina, sent PAR a note, thanking the crews: “We … have met some of your trucks [and] appreciate your hard work and dedication. Thanks again!”

PAR completed its emergency restoration work in the Carolinas, and crews returned home.
