PAR’s Environmental Impact was calculated for regions in the West, Northwest, and Midwest. Multiple impacts were calculated and the following was found:
|Number of Employees in Reporting Region (reflective of amount of manhours)||3,008||2,623|
|Greenhouse Gas Emissions (metric tons of CO2e)||13,553||14,400a|
|Energy Consumption (kilowatt hours)||293,046,576||4,547,489|
|Recycled Material (metric tons)||85||494,822b|
|Water Consumption (gallons)||1,327,649||970,156|
**These numbers are gross numbers and do not take into account consumption in comparison to manhours worked. PAR has an environmental impact reduction goal of the following:
- Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 5% by 2020
- Reducing Energy Consumption by 5% by 2020
- Reducing Water Consumption by 5% by 2020
- Diverting 5% of waste from landfills by 2020
- Maintaining no Reportable Spills throughout the Company
**As PAR works to include more and more regions into our reporting schema, our goals may change and grow.
aEmissions have gone up as regional difference apply in this situation. PAR started reporting for a number of work occurring outside of California where a predominant number of our greener fleet exists. Therefore, as work in California slowed and work outside of California accelerated, this reflected in our emissions number.
bRecycled material went up as regional offices started tracking recycling better. Although PAR has participated in recycling programs for a number of years now, the company had not been tracking the amount.
